Complete language services from English to German
You are a trusted partner and adviser to your clients. Don’t let these relationships be damaged by poor translation.
Accurate translations for the finance industry are difficult to obtain as they require knowledge of both financial and legal matters. This is further complicated by multi-level deals and board-room particulars. But not everything is just dry, professional jargon.
Ideally, you would want your translator to understand the relationship you have with your clients, and be able to render this in a persuasive copy.

Step 1
Before the project start
Client Query and specifications
The translation process starts with the first client query about a potential project. The work performed by me to initially analyse the project scope is, of course, free, as is the negotiation of fee and conditions of project delivery.
Step 2
Project Start
Quote and Acceptance
Once the project has been analysed, I prepare the formal quote and send it to the client and once they sign it, it becomes the contract binding us for the duration of the project.
Step 3
Preparation
Glossaries and text analysis
I move on to analyse the terminology and set up any of the client language resources, which I then update as needed. Such resources may include lists of terms called glossaries.
Step 4
Translation I
Translation
The actual process of rendering the source text into the target language. Depending on the nature of the text and the client’s requirements, I am sometimes aided with appropriate CAT tools for the task. I will often take a break before proceeding to the next step, to remove any subjectivity that arose during translation.
Step 5
Translation II
Proofreading and editing
After some time has passed, I compare the source and target texts carefully in order to find and fix any faults and flaws, from omissions, style, spelling and to even the smallest of punctuation errors.
Step 6
Consolidation
Quality Control
The translation is then subjected to the appropriate Quality Control measures, such as reading only the target text out loud or processing with QC tools. This is also when the once-edited text will be seen by a second set of professional eyes.
Step 7
Project end
Project delivery
Finally, I will send the realised project to the client in the requested format, accompanied by appropriate materials. This is not necessarily the end, though, as the client might have some notes I will then execute.
Testimonials
I use my expertise in finance to build and maintain close relationships with my clients.
Your success matters to me and is part of my own success.
Verena has been an outstanding member of the team providing translation and transcription for both DE < > EN combinations – always reliable and always high quality.
I must reflect Verena’s extra contributions to the project in some form by acknowledging her editorial status. Her additional comments about the paper was also extremely useful.
Thank you so much for translating this quickly and accurately. We are aware of the scale of the task and are hugely grateful for your excellent work.
Verena has been our translator of choice for long and arduous projects. The last one was a 18-page document and her expertise and efficiency exceeded expectations, as always.
