A Way With Words

All we have is words – All we have is worlds

One letter. A totally different meaning. Mistake or playfulness? Who knows…

If you have words, you literally have worlds at your disposal.

All the worlds mean nothing, if you don’t have words to express yourself.

When first someone told me that I ‘have a way with words’ I shrugged it off as some flattery.

I have heard that praise quite a few times since. But only recently the deeper meaning hidden within these words became obvious to me:

If I have a way with words, I may comprehend in the literal sense: The words I have and use to convey a specific content, a special tone of voice, a certain intent – these words pave a way from one language into the other.

I feel privileged to serve as a pathfinder to all those who come to me in need of a translation.
